Mysiki Valentine

Executive Director of Maryland Programs

Mysiki Valentine is an education and nonprofit leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing educational equity, economic mobility, and national service. His journey began as an AmeriCorps member (2012–2014) and continued as a Teach For America educator (2014–2017), where he worked directly with students and families to expand educational opportunities. He later led literacy initiatives across Washington, D.C., helping improve outcomes for children and communities through strategic partnerships and evidence-based programming. Most recently, he served in the Maryland Governor's Office for Children, overseeing statewide investments focused on child well-being, poverty reduction, and community impact. Today, as an Executive Director with Ampact, Mysiki draws on his lifelong commitment to service to strengthen AmeriCorps programs and expand opportunities for communities across the country. He is passionate about educational equity, community empowerment, and the belief that service can transform lives.
