Ampact Welcomes New Leaders to the Board of Directors

Ampact is thrilled to announce the addition of two distinguished leaders to our Board of Directors! Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Nichole Dunn and Chester W. Spellman. Both bring decades of leadership in the public and nonprofit sectors as well as expertise that will help Ampact continue growing our impact nationally.

Nichole Dunn
Nichole has more than 20 years of experience leading public and nonprofit organizations. She currently serves as the Vice President for Federal Policy at Results for America. In this role, she works with Congress, the White House, and community leaders to strengthen education, workforce development, and evidence-based policy nationwide.

Earlier in her career, Nichole served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Ben McAdams and as Deputy Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer in Salt Lake County. In these positions Dunn emphasized accountability and data-driven decision making, helping launch new initiatives in areas such as criminal justice reform and community partnerships.

Nichole earned both her B.S. in Behavioral Science and Health and her M.P.A. from the University of Utah. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Driving Government Performance from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

Chester W. Spellman
With more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and public sectors, Chester W. Spellman brings deep national service leadership to the Ampact Board. From 2017-2021, he served as Director of AmeriCorps State and National, leading programs across the country and working to strengthen their impact through evidence-based practices.

Prior to his federal service, Chester was CEO of Volunteer Florida, the state’s Commission on Community Service, and led efforts to expand volunteer opportunities across the state. Today, he is president of CW Spellman Consulting, where he advises nonprofits nationwide on strategy, management, and growth to maximize community impact.

Chester holds degrees in pastoral ministries (B.A., Southeastern University) and organizational leadership (M.A., Regent University), as well as a certificate from the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders. In 2016, he was recognized as Young Floridian of the Year by the University of Florida’s Bob Graham Center for Public Service.
